MICHAEL MIZER
Valued Coach & Mentor
Mr. Mizer has coached Berthoud Robotics teams for over ten years. He was the coach and mentor for 1069B from 2016 to 2020. Words can not describe how valuable he was to the team. Whenever the team went astray Mr. Mizer was there to help us get back on task and focus on the robot. Mr. Mizer's dedication to the robotics program and the team was astounding. Through all the highs and the lows, back to back competitions, long nights, and so much more, Mr. Mizer was always there supporting us. Every member of the team would not be the person they are today without Mr. Mizer and we are forever thankful that you were our coach and mentor! Thank you for all you did. You will be dearly missed!

SAMUEL MIZER
Builder & Driver
Sam joined the team in 2016 and graduated in 2020. Sam was the unique team member with the crazy robotic ideas. Sam had an uncanny ability to build unusual contraptions that solved or improved a component of the robot. Sam also stepped up and volunteered to drive the year after we lost our entire drive team. Sam also had the best defensive driving technique. He could take a losing match and turn it on its head changing the scales to tip in our favor. You will not find a better defensive driver in all of Colorado! Thank you for being a great friend and fellow roboticist. We will all miss you!

DAWSON VISGER
Builder & Driver
Dawson joined the team in 2017 and graduated in 2020. Dawson always had a smile on his face! Dawson was the friend whose shoulder you could cry on and who would be there to celebrate with you no matter what. Dawson ensured that our primary focus was to have fun and enjoy ourselves during the entire season. He was the one that made every meeting a party! Dawson also created our motto 1069B different. Not only were our robots unique, but Dawson also guaranteed that our team dynamic was different; from hats at tournaments to dance parties with Bella and Kaitlin at meetings. Dawson, your character and charisma are unmatched by anyone in the entire universe! Thank you for the smile and laughter that we will never forget and we will all miss you!

GAGE DOWER
Designer & Builder
Gage joined the team in 2018 and unfortunately transferred schools in 2019. Gage joined as a freshman and quickly learned the ropes and showed attributes of a great builder. Gage was also one of the backup drivers and rapidly mastered the controls of the robot. Unfortunately, Gage transferred schools and was unable to remain on the team. We are disappointed that we never saw what unique and creative things he could have made. Gage, we wish you luck at your new school!

JOSHUA RODRIQUEZ
Miscellaneous Items
Josh joined the team in 2018 and unfortunately transferred schools in 2019. Josh was the one who was always cracking jokes and having a good time. Josh helped everywhere. If someone needed something done Josh was more than happy to do it and the team was really grateful for someone who would just get work done. Josh transferred schools the following year and sadly was unable to remain on the team. Josh thank you for your willingness to help and we wish you luck at your new school!

HENRY MIZER
Team Leader & CAD
Henry started 1069B in 2016 and graduated in 2018. Henry had an amazing drive for engineering and robotics and got a bunch of his friends to join him and create a robotics team. Henry was an amazing leader, focused and determined. He helped his friends through the difficulties of starting a robotics team and he spent countless hours working on CAD and the engineering notebook! Henry was an excellent friend and changed every one of his friends' lives. In 2017 Henry brought on a young freshman, Corey, that he took under his wing showing him what it meant to be an outstanding roboticist, strong leader and a great friend. 1069B would not be here today without the hard work that Henry put into the team. Good luck on your future adventures, you are a great friend and you will be missed dearly!

JAKEÂ RAFFERTY
Builder & Driver
Jake was a good friend of Henry's and joined him in starting 1069B in 2016 and graduated in 2018. Jake was a visionary and could see the big picture. He saw all the effects every little change made to the robot had. Jake was also one of the best builders, able to prototype and construct anything you throw at him quickly and efficiently. One of the best qualities of Jake was his sense of humor. If we were working late or were having a tough competition Jake was there to raise the group's spirits with a good joke or silly face. It was Jakes's idea to wear hats at every competition starting the lasting tradition of 1069B different. Your smile will be deeply missed, you will succeed in anything you put your mind to!

RYAN SCHMAD
Builder, Driver & Notebook
Ryan helped create the team with Henry in 2016 and graduated in 2018. Ryan is the kindest person on the planet, always having a smile on his face. Ryan was a significant helper when it came to the notebook and his drawings and diagrams were unmatched. One of the many attributes of Ryan was his persistence and thoroughness of any problem. Ryan rebuilt components over and over; each time making it work better and better. The team was truly lucky to have such a kind and remarkable man. Good luck on the next adventure, we know you will do great!

CONNER SIRUTA
Strategic Planner
Conner joined 1069B with the rest of his friends and took on the challenge of creating a robotics team. When looking at a robotics team many see only the robot and the drivers, however for a robot to win the drivers must have a good strategy and Conner excelled at creating plans and working with others to devise a winning strategy. Conner's abilities helped take an average robot and have it perform like an excellent, powerful robot. Along with finding the best alliance partner Conner allowed 1069B to be a fierce competitor to any robot! We thank you for the time and effort you put into robotics, we will all miss you!

JOEL ROZUM
Programmer
Joel joined 1069B in 2016. He was the mastermind behind the robot's internal operation. Joel programmed every function that the robot performed. The program allows the drivers to press a button and have a component of the robot move to an exact location and Joel programmed all of it. Unfortunately due to scheduling conflicts with work Joel was unable to continue doing robotics and left in 2017.
